Internet flaw could let hackers take over the Web
AFP ^ | July 09, 2008

Computer industry heavyweights are hustling to fix a flaw in the foundation of the Internet that would let hackers control traffic on the World Wide Web.

Major software and hardware makers worked in secret for months to create a software "patch" released on Tuesday to repair the problem, which is in the way computers are routed to web page addresses.

"It's a very fundamental issue with how the entire addressing scheme of the Internet works," ...

"You'd have the Internet, but it wouldn't be the Internet you expect. (Hackers) would control everything."

The flaw would be a boon for "phishing" cons that involve leading people to imitation web pages of businesses such as bank or credit card companies to trick them into disclosing account numbers, passwords and other information.

"An attacker with the ability to conduct a successful cache poisoning attack can cause a nameserver's clients to contact the incorrect, and possibly malicious, hosts for particular services," CERT said.

"Consequently, web traffic, email, and other important network data can be redirected to systems under the attacker's control."

Funny you mentioned the ‘caveman’ business as I was thinking about it earlier today! I have been writing BC for Birth Certificate for some time and thought of the meaning of BC.

Then, in a thread today it was mentioned that Obama may even have been born in British Columbia!! Another BC.

I’m just rambling here....

Yeah - August ‘61 she was on some BC island

But the (alleged) BC says Hawaai - but no hospital name or doctor’s name or signature on any BC (so far)

When did she move or go to Hawaii (back) and why?

Why and when and for how long was she living in BC Canada?

Barack Hussein Obama SENIOR was where in August ‘61?

Harvard? Boston?

This whole “story” of Obama’s is REDACTED and the alleged “BC proof” is a DIGITAL graphic:

“....young and single....”
— Michelle Obama

-

I’m surprised the KOS/BC “BC faker” did not print “Barack Hussein Osama II” on the BC and blame Republicans for it

Hopefully it will be revealed before November. I could see the Clintons being interested in this. Opposing forums are investigating McCain just as we are Obama.

Also, there are complaints that Google has removed Obama’s BC from their search engine!

A number of days ago I read somewhere that Google had removed the swastika from their search engine because it was getting so many hits!! Have not checked that out.

hehee!

I was in my early to mid 20’s when WBK was running and a favorite show it was for me then.

I mimicked Horshack’s silly “he! he! he!” for years and still let one out from time to time.

As silly as that is. :)

And I liked Kotter’s character a lot too. A great show ...

Me too, I can still hum the theme song from that show. Nothing like that on TV today that I know of. Too bad.

Another pic from WBK.

And of course, John Travolta got a boost and later did the “Grease” movies. Classics.

That’s a great picture of them all. Strange how Travolta was the only one to go on to big success! [as far as I know]

Yep! I agree.

I found this link to the Theme Song for WBK:

http://video.aol.com/video/tv-in2tv-welcome-back-kotter-sing-a-long/1859863

There’s a short ad at the front, but the Theme Song follows. It’s great. :)
(Even tho it IS AOL). :(

Ahh, that was great, thanks Meek! I listened and wished I could save it from the site - just the music, lol.

Hmmmm...

That AOL link didn’t work the second time for me. Looks like A(ss)OL hasn’t changed since I dumped them SEVEN years ago. Sorry.

Here is a Windows Media Player link:

http://www.sitcomsonline.com/sounds/welcomebackkotter.wav

That I found HERE:

http://timstvshowcase.com/kotter.html

It worked great for me ...

Thanks, I'll check out the wav file and save it! It's ‘soothing’ music, nostalgic, lol.

I found long ago that AOL wasn't allowing my SIG html email go through to my girlfriend from highschool. Read that they censure stuff. Not meaning it's bad stuff, just some html stuff. Elvis isn't bad, lol.

Appreciate you finding that.
I'm heading for bed, haven't even read the Sunday newspaper yet.

Take care Meek!
