The daughter of a Second World War RAF pilot who reprimanded a teenager who she accused of vandalising a war memorial has been convicted of assault

But Mrs Lake was arrested after giving a boy, whom she believed to be the ringleader, a talking-to and a 'cuff round the ear'.

She tackled him after she saw at least one youth riding a BMX bike through freshly-laid flower beds.

Magistrates heard that when she grabbed his shirt collar, he said: 'That's assault'.

The trial - estimated to have cost taxpayers more than £100,000 - earlier heard how Mrs Lake was surrounded by up to 25 jeering youths by the memorial....
 

She told how the gang surrounded her, pushed her and shouted: 'You can't touch us, we're 15, we can do what the f*** we like.'

Former serviceman Reg Hall, 78, said: 'It's disgusting that the vandalism has been going on at the memorial for eight years and nobody has stopped it.

It appears that the Constabulary have recognized Mrs. Lake's Thatcheresque honor and strength and have done their utmost to beat it into the ground.  People will look at this story and say "this is what I'll get if I dare to stand up to Evil".

Events like this are so common, it is making me wonder if the police are intentionally trying to irritate the public so much that they revolt?

People can only take so much crime before they take the law into their own hands. And while they often fail as individuals, if the police persecute them for this, they will band together in vigilante organizations.

And this might be just what the police want. Vigilantes are under no ridiculous constraints against criminals. They can even execute them if they want, without a judge or some namby-pamby politician or bureaucrat intervening.

Just yesterday the English government decided that burglary should no longer be subject to arrest. Well, how about hanging?

As soon as vigilantism starts, it will be happening all over Britain.

I imagine Ms. Lake realizes now that the first thing she should have done before ever involving the police is get a digital camera with a date stamp and photograph the damage and the perpetrators (preferably in the act in the same frame). Others whose jobs were deleted were Mr Livingstone's Left-wing cultural and events adviser, Jude Woodward, his planning chief Eleanor Young and his "senior policy adviser on the creative industries" Emma St Giles.

Sadly, it 'appears' that Mrs. Lake's husband remained in the car during this series of events.  From the Bristol Evening Post:

A Bristol woman who confronted two youths over vandalism to a war memorial has told a court of her shock that she ended up locked in a police cell for three hours, accused of assault.

The 50-year-old told the court yesterday that for more than two years she and her husband Peter would often clear rubbish from around the memorial, which she said was continually vandalised.

On December 11 they were driving past the memorial.

She said: "I saw four youths on BMX bikes circling the exterior monument garden at some speed through the flower beds.

"I recognised faces but did not know their names. I asked my husband to stop the car."

Most unfortunate. That’s not the British my father, a bombardier, knew. Sad, so very, very sad. Makes you want to grab a Brit by the collar who’s watching futbol on the telly and scream: “Wake up, son. There’s a job to be done. Protect your women, for Pete’s sake.”

Agreed...I am reminded of France, which I had written off long ago as being a completely lost cause, having been entirely swallowed up and destroyed for all intents and purposes by the cancer of Socialism.  And then what do they do?  They elect Sarkozy!  Although certainly not an overnight fix, it suggests that there are still at least a few French with some sense, and the fact that he hasn't been run out of office yet suggests that they are willing to give him a chance.

Our British Friends deserve a chance also....they have been hammered by Socialism for decades, and pummeled by this insidious cancer that destroys the human spirit as well as economies and societies.  Great Britain survived the Blitz and the worst that Hitler could throw at them....they may be able to triumph over Socialism as well.

Anyone who dares to stand up to them will be surrounded and scared out of their wits at the minimum, after which the indignant, loutish 'parent' will reflexively defend them to the hilt, with a legion of taxpayer-funded lawyers in her wake.

The Police look down upon all this and smile, knowing that it serves to quell any remaining desire in people to stand up to evil when their efforts are foiled in such a grand, public spectacle.
