Sadly, if Iran were to launch missiles at Israel, and the U.S. were to intervene successfully and destroy them, the Left would assert that such a result was proof that Iran wasn’t a threat.

We have 22 Ticonderoga Class cruisers and 51 Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers with the Aegis system. Of these, 18 are configured to carry the SM-3 missile for boost-phase interception of ICBMs.
