What a unpretentious man.

He invited a group of us FReepers to Fox News Studio during the CPAC conference. He sat down with us for an hour (during his lunch time) and chatted with him on all sorts of things. But one thing he really focused on his family, how proud he was of his children who had just gotten his report cards and had done so well.

After the chat, he took us to his studio and let us sit in while he taped a commercial.

How heartbreaking. Tony was a wonderful man, a great press secretary, and an honest person through and through. He will be greatly missed.

Prayers to his family.

RIP Tony

Tony Snow was a fixture at CPAC and the special CPAC White House briefings. His CPAC programs were always SRO, and filled with a positive message.

He kept the most upbeat optimism, with his sparkling eyes and big wide grin. Tony Snow has been a great model for me-- not only for conservatism, but also when I was diagnosed with cancer in December 2007.

Mware, I remember your and other Snowflakes’ excitement about the visit with Tony at that CPAC conference. Just another example of what a great and down to earth guy he was. When you think of the level of succcess/celebrity Tony achieved, especially in this town, it is all the more amazing he kept his feet firmly planted on the ground, and never lost his sense of priorities. Boy, am I sad.
