Had she been a man...
She has more (pant)suits for a week's worth of campaigning than I'll ever own. She barks orders. She SLAMS boilermakers. She has others prepare her food, clean her house and run her errands. And she's a dedicated Yankee fan.
Who says she isn't a man?

When women start a new job, they tend to feel they are "faking it"...Women don't 'fake it' - do they?

Had she been a man, these outbursts of anger would have been interpreted as assertiveness, intolerance of fools, a sign of status. That would explain why the Democrats and the media (pardon the redundancy) try to paint McCane's occasional flashes of temper as proof that he's an unstable, hotheaded, mentally-off former POW who can't be trusted to stand up to the strains of the presidency. Oh, no, wait: it wouldn't.

The author is too stupid to realize that her article and attitude do more to set women back than anything. Ridiculous in so many ways.

You forgot that she also has a young woman, half her age following her around like a puppy.

We regard irritability in men as a sign of status. But in women, we see it as a sign of incompetence LOLed right there. I've had male bosses who got irritable; I thought they acted ... girlish.

You beat me to it- the media most blatantly paints McCain as an insane loon.

“We regard irritability in men as a sign of status. But in women, we see it as a sign of incompetence”
This is nonsense. Irritability in men is childish and femalean (yes, that's a word. I invented it myself)
There is something quite pathological about certain females who aspire to have the worst traits of the worst men. Women want to be powerful by being like Stalin, Pol Pot, or Attila the Hun. They never seem to grasp that there are better ways to lead, and better role models to follow.

Women lacking a sense of entitlement has never been an issue from what I have seen. Don't get me wrong, I adore women, but of all the problems/issues they face I don't for a second give that one any credence.

Slamming things around, banging things and yelling at others — this is not well-thought of in men. It is just out-of-control behavior with no thot of others. AKA “Throwing your weight around.” tsk tsk tsk.
