well, to truley enforce all immigration laws, to deport all illegals, one would need to create a police state, in effect.
Oh BS....the only problem is they let it go far too long... I remember in calmer days INS pursuit of illegals was a daily and common occurrence until somebody decided not to bother with it anymore and the addiction to cheap labor began....and we were NOT a police state by any stretch of the imagination...
