July 11, Indiana State Police spent the night guarding more than 2,000 marijuana plants in a rural Kosciusko County field Thursday night.
The two men arrested, both Camacho and Gonzalez (on immigration hold) have been charged with possession of marijuana and growing marijuana with the intent to sell. They remain in the Kosciusko county jail.
A juvenile was also arrested, but police have not released the minor’s name.
Those are the main suspects...but police say they believe there’s a much bigger story behind this drug bust and expect to arrest more people in the near future.

July 11, Marijuana plants seized in Cleveland National Forest
SAN DIEGO – Federal narcotics agents have seized more than 7,200 marijuana plants from three cultivated fields in the Cleveland National Forest, a haul valued by the Drug Enforcement Administration at more than $20 million.
The three fields were raided Thursday, according to a DEA announcement made Friday. The plants ranged from 3 to 7 feet tall, and the trafficker’s campsite included a tent, food and a shower area, the DEA said.

Authorities Seize 10,000 Marijuana Plants Worth $5 Million
Dallas....July 11, 2008 (July 11, 2008)—Three men were in custody Friday after Navarro County authorities, working with the Texas National Guard’s Counter-Drug Aviation Division and Texas Department of Public Safety Narcotics Service agents, seized 10,000 marijuana plants that investigators said would have had a street value of $5 million had they grown to maturity.
Two men, Christobal Botello and Abel Martinez-Lopez, both from Dallas, were arrested at the scene of the seizure in northern Navarro County.
Immigration holds were placed on both, the Sheriff’s Office said

Pot plants found near Sunnyside

SUNNYSIDE — A tip from a man who saw workers trimming grapes from vines led to the discovery of an estimated $20 million worth of marijuana plants growing five miles south of Sunnyside, authorities said.
The two farmworkers are also in custody at the Yakima County jail. Gerrardo Ceja Diaz, 22, and Marcario Carranza Carrasco, 21, both Mexican nationals, are being held on state charges of growing marijuana, Beghtol said. They had been living in a fifth-wheel trailer on the property.

I have a friend who is very Mexican. A Mexican-American, but with a pronounced accent and he likes to joke in pocho spanish.
Now he’s for McCain, but it’s not at all because of McCain’s La Raza - illegal immigration pandering. This guy competes for work against illegals, he’s not a fan of them.
No, he supports McCain because this guy was a Marine, and his son is a Marine, and he’s voting for McCain because he feels patriotism requires it. American patriotism, not ethnic latino pride.
There are latinos who will support McCain, but instead of cultivating their patriotism Juan instead will grovel before the racists at La Raza. He is a clown.
