Prejudice. Pre-judging. Sometimes based on ignorance, and sometimes on experience.
Frankly, it is far more common for a group of blacks to attack a white guy, than for a group of white guys to attack a black. Of course, it is even more common by percentage for blacks to attack blacks.
People aren’t racists for suspecting, without photos, that the perps are black. They are just playing the odds.
