F off!
Are you kidding? How many divisions does Mexico have? As if that really matters, since we're being invaded and taken over with nary a shot fired. In this day and age, conventional warfare is no longer required to bring a country to its knees.
Note to the World Court: Kiss Off.
My sentiments exactly.
Bush's foreign policy has overall been very good. However his butt-kissing to Mexico is embarassing. If this were another country, Bush probably would ingore the world court, but since it is Mexico, Bush won't.
This case mentioned in the story is a continuation of the Medellin case that the Supreme Court already ruled on. Mexico reappealed to the World Court trying to force us to do what the Supreme Court already slapped down.
Personally, if Mexico wants them back...execute them and then ship their bodies back to Mexico.
“So how many Divisions does the World Court have?”
About as many as the food court at your local mall.
Reminds me of Stalin when the Pope protested on of his murderous policies, he said, “The Pope, how many divisions does he have.”
Screw the world court. Our highest authority is our Constitution... period.
And the Texas government will politely but firmly tell them to get bent.
“If President Bush allows this “ruling” to be upheld, then we’ve truly lost our sovereignty.”
Bush agrees with the world court. His administration is one who objected to executions and sided with Mexico. Articles were here on FR about it.
My first thought as well.
<< World Court: U.S. must delay Mexican death sentences >>
BibChr: World Court must bite me
Let me know when the World Court plans on sending the Blue helmets to enforce their edict so I can stock up on .308 and 12ga ammo.
“Bush agrees with the world court.”
Right you are:
“After the World Court’s ruling, President George W. Bush issued a directive to the state courts to abide by the decision and also asked Texas specifically to review Medellin’s case ahead of his planned Aug. 5 execution.
Those steps were “highly unusual,” Bellinger said. “It almost never happens that the federal government enters an appearance in state court proceedings.”
However, Texas refused, and in March the U.S. Supreme Court ruled by a 6-3 vote that Bush lacked the authority to compel state courts to comply with the judgment from The Hague.”

World Court “ordered”?? “ordered”??? The ONLY order they can make in the US involves french fries.
“World Court” — EFFEM!

LOL!!
>If President Bush allows this “ruling” to be upheld, then we’ve truly lost our sovereignty.<
I have no doubt whatsoever that he will see to it that the ruling will be ‘allowed’.
I remember that. It is on my W list
