If we don’t drill there, someone else will. That gives (1) another country assets that could be ours, which (2) gives another country jobs which we would have otherwise had, and (3) we might end up buying the oil from that country.

Great Job Nancy!!

Good, good. Keep it up Nancy.

It is high time that we create a pic for Pelosi, like this one for Obama...they are one and the same.

I think it's time for the people to hit congress on this issue like we did on immigration.

It's a pathetic scene when we spend the money we do to assemble a government, and then have to ride their asses to get them to do their freakin' jobs.

Unfortunately for Nan, the current congressional oil drilling ban expires on September 30, 2008 and she doesn’t have the votes to renew it over a Bush veto.

Fine, impose a very healthy tax on every gallon of gasoline (and on other petroleum products) sold in coastal states that refuse to agree to drilling in their offshore areas.

Such a tax has the beauty of recognizing those states priorities, and as their fantasy alternative fuels replace petroleum quickly, they will no longer be paying the tax.

***The president of the United States, with gas at $4 a gallon because of his failed energy policies, is now trying to say that is because I couldn't drill offshore,” Pelosi said in an interview. “That is not the cause, and I am not going to let him get away with it.”***

It is the cause because it's the only thing that congress hasn't done. California has billions of barrels that are off limits.

The 1969 Santa Barbara oil spill was nasty, but we have had 39 years now to improve the drilling methods. Oil platforms are better, oil well heads and valves are better and angle drilling can lessen the need for multiple platforms.

It’s Pelosi and the environmentalists who are stuck in 1969, not the oil industry and certainly, not the rest of American consumers. New drilling will lessen oil prices faster than the wells come on line as the foreign companies who are holding us hostage will see we are no longer chumps.

If the Republicans don’t grow a pair and beat the Democrats senseless over this issue they deserve to be a bunch of losers. For Pete’s sake, what is their problem? They have a certain winner here. Blame the Democratic Congress for high prices every minute until November 4, 2009 so unless the American people enjoy paying high prices they know who is doing this to them.

Pelosi is the worst speaker in my lifetime. She is a virtual dictator and a clear and present threat to our national security.

I don’t get it. Her Highness promised to lower gas prices back when she took control in 2006 and gas prices were $2.56/gallon. Is it just me, or do gas prices actually seem higher now?

__________________________________________________________

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought the Energy Policy Bush signed was on the Green side. Isn’t the Green part of his Energy policy the EXACT reason prices have risen—this is the EXACT kind energy policy these idiots wanted to begin with.

Nancy, we have 4$ a gallon gas BECAUSE WE NEED FREAKING OIL!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND YOU FREAKING WITCH?! YOU’RE NOT QUALIFIED TO BE A DOG CATCHER!! GET OUT!

Worst Speaker in the history of the Congress. But she represents San Francisco and Marin County. What else would you expect?

Ok, I have it. We can send an anonymous letter to nutjob Nancy suggesting that when both of her friends from the CPUSA can schedule some time off they can plan an old fashioned protest! They can go chain themselves to any number of existing offshore oil platforms. Cool huh?

I love it.Pelosi has backed herself into a corner on this.I doubt Pelosi appreciates the impact high gas prices have on the middle class.Even a few of the libs i work with are perplexed/po’ed re: NP’s refusal(inability?)to come to terms with reality.Advice to Nancy-stick to your guns, and whatever you do,don’t back down:)
