A Canadian boy was rescued after being kidnapped, hidden in a car's trunk and forced into an oil drum, officials said.
The abduction took place when a man grabbed the 8-year-old boy off a street Tuesday in the Canadian province of Quebec, the Gazette, Montreal reported Thursday.
A witness called authorities and other people gave information to police as the abductor drove around Levis with the boy, the newspaper said.
One onlooker said they saw the boy in the trunk while stopped at a traffic light, and another said they saw the man remove the boy from the car and make him go into an apartment.
Police said they found the boy tied in a sealed oil drum in the apartment building's boiler room.
The building's 50-year-old janitor was arraigned Wednesday on charges of abduction, abduction of a child under 14 and confinement, the Gazette said.
Xray specs?
This is one of those few times I can see a justifiable reason for charging someone with the fact that they showed a clear ‘intent’ to do something worse than the crime they actually got caught doing. Unfortunately, exactly what the man intended to do with the boy is unclear based on the article. Him putting the boy in a barrel shows a clear intent to do something much worse. It’s a shame that kidnapping is the worst thing they have on him and he cant be charged with the intent to kill, perform sexual acts, engage in slave trade or whatever the !@#$ was going on in this sicko’s mind.
A queer?
“Provincial police say the incident began Tuesday evening ... when a man stopped his vehicle and grabbed an eight-year-old boy who was playing with some friends on their bicycles, reports The CP.”
Boy if there was ever a time to invoke the “Shot while resisting arrest” this would be the opportunity. And if I was the law I don’t know how I’d resist pluggin this chap.
