PROVIDENCE Federal immigration agents and state police raided six Rhode Island courthouses yesterday, arresting dozens of people employed by two contractors hired by the state. The detainees are all believed to be maintenance workers.
The raid led to a noisy demonstration by at least 100 people outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement office at 200 Dyer St. last night. Police officers arrived as the crowd grew; at one point the police pushed a line of demonstrators across the parking lot.
Some in the crowd were relatives of the arrestees. Others included clergy and at least one state representative, Grace Diaz, and members of immigrant advocacy groups.
Leonardo Tornes said his sister, Francesca Tornes, an undocumented worker from Mexico, was arrested at the Kent County Courthouse

Check out the whining criminals quoted in the story.
200 people protested. How many didn’t protest the arrest of criminals who had been hired to work in a government office?
So here are a bunch of illegals that has free run of the court house at night. Just think of all the confidential information lying around(bureaucrats are slobs).
It is RI..run by the mob, so it is surprising that the raids took place.
The Juan MCainiacs are at it again.
Oh the horror. They come here illegal and bring their kids or have them here. Just who is to blame? The governor? The courts? The boss? No the blame belongs to the women here illegally.
Where am I wrong in this thinking?Z
I really hope the ICE workers know how much those of us out in America appreciate it when they arrest illegals. All they read in these liberal rags is the boo-hooing of relatives and bleeding hearts who just can’t get over the fact that people get arrested for committing crimes. Well, my non-bleeding heart does a little cheer every time I read one of these stories...a spark of hope in an election year that is very depressing with regard to this particular topic.
Yes, amigo, as long as you push out a baby on the US side of the Rio Grande you qualify, via the anchor baby:
WIC coupons (food stamps)
SSI (welfare)
Section 8 housing
Medicaid
Public schooling
If you pop out a baby here, the US taxpayer gives your child, a newly-minted US citizen per the 14th Amendment, a BETTER life than you had down south.
The logic is easy for someone in their shoes, why not, at worst, you get deported and go back home. At best, you make 50x your income here and have your basic needs paid for and with more children, the benefits increase.
Not to mention everything now is bi-lingual and even Obama thinks everyone should speak Spanish.
If I were President, it would be a deport first policy and the entire immigration system would be revised.
“¿hablan español” is what I ask every time I go into Lowe’s or Home Depot! Freaks them all out!
“Not to mention everything now is bi-lingual and even Obama thinks everyone should speak Spanish.”
I wonder what the African-Americans that support him think about having to learn Spanish?
They're not criminals...they're "God's children"! /sarc

You forgot “my friends”. Best said through gritted teeth.
"My friennnddddss...they are God's children!"
Stop calling them undocumented workers. Call them what they are: Criminal invaders.
when we lose the right to enforce our laws as a sovereign nation and lose the will to enforce our laws, we will cease to exist
If I oppose McCain, does that make me one of Satan’s children?
No, that just makes you a bigot. Ask Lindsey Graham. He'll tell you.
"We're going to tell the bigots to shut up!"
