The governor of Florida would consider going to court to guarantee his right to permit offshore oil exploration around Floridas coasts. But Charlie Crist, who has been cited as a possible running mate for presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain, told the Financial Times that in preference to court action it would be more productive for Congress to overturn its ban on offshore drilling.
Oil exploration in all but a few sectors of US coastal waters has been prohibited since the 1980s by separate congressional and presidential bans. However, George W. Bush on Monday lifted the White Houses moratorium and called on Congress to do the same.

I’ll see if I can convince Governor “Diamond Jim” Doyle, (D, WI) to allow drilling on The Great Lakes.
Fat chance. It’s been banned for decades...

Futures on oil dropped instantly as the Democrat's no drilling firewall to keep oil prices high could crumble.
Too bad for speculator Soros and all those funds that profiteered on oil futures while depending on Democrats to hold up global warming, prohibit drilling, and keep oil futures/prices in the stratosphere.

Nope. Far from it.
The whole point today is polictal environmentalism.
The question in my mind is despite their point being plausibly valid, is their argument sound?
