You know, I always wonder about this when I watch the cop shows on TV. The stopped drivers have to have an interpreter come so they can be questioned.

I know, many of them do speak English just fine and they are just playing a game. Enforcement of and $500 tickets would put an end to the “no habla” BS in fairly short order.

one day as I and a couple other guys had stopped to get clearance through the Wyo POE there was a mex guy in the office and he was doing that studdering crap with the port girl, he obviously didn't have the proper permit and was hoping to BS his way through.

what he got was ALL RITE!

YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ME AND IF YOU CAN'T YOU'RE GOING TO JAIL!

he immediately started speaking better kings English that either of the rest of us standing there.

we giggled about that for 50 miles...
