You're right...I wrote that info from memory, which for a rather scruffy stoat is always a mistake :-)
"A Bang and a Wimpy" was released on Attila The Stockbroker's first EP (Extended Play vinyl disk....usually a 7" disk that plays at 33rpm but there are 12" 45rpm EP's as well) in 1981, so it was probably written in 1980 or thereabouts. I remember it being rather popular among the punk and rock and roll crowd at the time although I don't recall how it placed on the charts, if at all.
It sounded kind of “punkish” :) But it’s good regardless. (I looked at your poetry page, I like your taste in poetry. My own favorite is “She Was A Phantom Of Delight”, mainly because I like the way it was quoted in the film “The Sky’s The Limit”, with Joan Leslie and Fred Astaire. What a reason, LOL)
