I mean why let something as simple as being a few feet away from the bodies of young children keep you from enjoying a day at the beach?

So CNN will show these dead bodies without seeking release from the families of the deceased but still won’t show dead bodies from the 9-11 attacks.

I loathe the MSM.

Kind of peculiar. But how would anyone know the stiffs were Rom? I don’t see how that is relevant.

What were people supposed to do? Crowd around the bodies staring at them? Run around in circles in a panic? Leave the area? Pick up the bodies and try to bring them back to life? What would you have done? Apparently authorities were notified and were coming to pick up the bodies, who knows if these people said a silent prayer.

This article seems a little sensationalist to me. While the girls were drowning, it sounds like the lifeguards did try to save them and in fact rescued two of them. Later, when the two dead girls were lying on the beach, the picture shows them covered with towels except for their feet, so how would the people who came along the beach even know they were dead instead of sleeping or playing a game? And especially, I don’t see how the article can claim this is an example of racism. Nobody could possibly tell these girls were gypsies just by looking at their feet.

I’d be much more inclined to blame the Italians if they ignored these girls and just let them drown, but it doesn’t sound like they did that at all.

This photo was taken with a medium to long range lense.  These two sunbaithers are not close to the bodies.

They are not being disrepsectful.

What distance would the press be satisfied with, 100 feet, 200, 300?  This is much to do about nothing.

This reminds me of the race baiting that takes place in the U.S. instigated by the press.

I don’t understand what these people are supposed to do? Why was the beach not closed immediately by officials? What percentage of the seaside crowd even knew what was going on? What are they supposed to do, run away screaming?

Its really hard to get a read on what happened here. The Italians don’t like the Rom. When I lived in Naples I remember watching public service announcements warning against gypsys on AFRTS TV. This professionally done advertisement showed surveillance photos of Romany children gathering in the Piazza where they worked the crowd.

I was in a train one time in Moscow when a Rom mother with her child were standing beside my friend and I just in front of the doors. The train had finished loading and the kid went right into his pocket and grabbed his notebook. The mother grabbed the childs one arm and rushed the door which was closing.

He grabbed the kids other arm at the wrist and they had a tug of war with the kids arm getting caught in the door. He got his notebook back and I’m sure that kid had a sore arm. The other passengers, the ones that acknowledged it, just clucked their tongues and shook their heads.
