The US uses 20 million barrels a day, so this would last us about 40 days.

But hey, friends, that 40 days that we don’t have if we don’t go after the oil shale petro

But just the idea of taking proceeding to commence to begin will scare the willies out of the speculators and that alone will account for some drop in price. I hope the Demos have a ton of money in the hedge funds when the price starts to drop significantly

Should read “beginning to proceed to commence” will scare th willies...

I get a thrill with just the thought of that much oil available to us right here at home. It seems moronic to us that the Democracts in congress — the 9%ers — would possibly be opposed to doing anything so beneficial for the well-being of the United States.

But then, I just answered my own question

But it isn’t 40 days of us demand, it is 40,000. 109 1/2 years - without any oil from any other source, including domestic drilling. More realistically, 5 million bbls/day for 200,000 days - over 400 years worth.
