I, too, think that.
We would end up getting dragged into it like in WWI and WWII.
Usually we clean up after them as well as spending the lives of our troops. Honestly, half this insanity is because of all the colonizing they did centuries and decades ago.
One more thought: If we do abandon Israel and thus precipitate WoGaM, it goes without saying that we’ll have confirmation that the end of this era is near. In addition to that, however, I shudder to think of the divine wrath that we could bring on ourselves by abandoning Israel. The gauge of our moral rot is already redlining, but this affair could well push us completely over the edge of God’s patience.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this aspect.

Everything adds up to the end times. It’s a wonder the Lord has let it all go on this long. Things are going to accelerate after Jan., 2009. Or sooner, because Israel will not risk their security on an Obama presidency.
I agree, Unkus. It’s amazing how the geopolitical pieces of the prophecy puzzle have shuffled into place over the past couple of decades. Twenty years ago, although I definitely believed that the endclock was ticking, the mechanics of how it could all wind down were somewhat abstract, speculative. After all, twenty years ago it was hard for me to imagine how a scenario could realistically evolve in which Russia would lead a massive coalition of Arabs in an attack on Israel. Now we look around and it’s not hard at ALL to see exactly how it is VERY possible in the very near future.

It hasn't.... It took on the personality of the nation its headquarters is located in, Belgium. The confusion lies in the fact that the personalities of France, and Belgium are largely interchangeable...

NATO, as a worthwhile organization, lost any effective meaning with the collapse of first, the Warsaw Pact and then the collapse of the Soviet Union itself. The real question should have been "Why didn't NATO disband in 1990, after the collapse of the Soviet Union?"

I think Obama will be elected and Israel will not trust him to help or support them. Israel will hit the Iranian nuclear sites. Muslum Sleeper Cells in the US will activate and hit us. Who knows what will happen but Obama will be a disaster in waiting. The USA will no longer be a viable nation under Obama and the Democrats.
