Impressive map. Those walls are depressing. I do find it odd Obama chose to mention the walls of Belfast. They're not often discussed and he was wrong about them.

What the heck is the mistake? Just an opinion stated (which may very well be legitimate) usually doesn’t fly around here...

Maybe it is because of my public school education... but while I know that Belfast and Ireland as a whole suffered years of war and terrorism related to the Catholic vs. Protestant battle. But why are the troubles still running to the point that these walls must be built?

Seems to me that both Catholics and Protestants are acting rather UN-Christian in their belligerent behavior.

Obama stated in his speech: "Not only have walls come down in Berlin, but they have come down in Belfast,"

This is factualy incorrect, not just an opinion.

[Bambi could declare that feces was gold, and the press would proceed to polish it.]

My five year old said to me tonight “flies think dog poop is their dessert.”

So change dog to Bambi and you know who the flies are.

Rush and other radio show host might be able to have a gaffe of the day segment every day if Obama keeps going at this rate.

I KNEW IT!!

After a long day and then it was around midnight and I kept hearing clips of the Obama speech on the TV in the other room and I was thinking: How many times can a person say the word "walls" in a single speech?

Then I heard him talk about walls coming down in Northern Ireland and I knew that was BS because "peace walls" went up there and they worked.

So then I was doing searches to find news about peace walls but it was getting late so I settled on this news item and posted it:

Governments propose Ireland border checks for the first time in 80 years

I'm glad you nailed him drill_ANWR. Good job, it is a huge mistake by Obama!

You're welcome. Here's another of my favorites...

The left hates heroes. A hero demonstrates the importance of a single person making big things happen. A hero is an individual -- as opposed to a group, or a tribe, or a "people." A hero defies victimhood, undermining the left's entire world view.

There are big and great things that are publicly glorified as heroism. We can all be awed by mighty acts of courage and will that can move great forces in the world. Such people and such feats are important to history, and inspire us to live according to the best within us.

But in everybody's life there are countless choices, conflicts, and opportunities that require courage, integrity, a willingness to face hard truths, make difficult decisions that might have big consequences, and take action that you would rather not have to take.

Ronald Reagan saw the heroic in ordinary Americans. That is one of the things that I loved about him as a president, for everywhere he looked in America, he saw ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

“Therefore it is so”

Just another case of obama and his crew rewriting history to suit his purpose for the moment. No one has the guts to call him a liar—one wouldn’t want to be labled a racist for pointing out such glaring errors.

good fences make good neighbors?

A great catch - Obambi and his puppet-masters are, as usual, out to lunch (and worse)

We must demand all pols write their own speeches. We need to know what the pol thinks all by himself, not by committee. When we hear people attribute famous speeches/phrases to Presidents who had speechwriters its just another lie.
