I fully expect that at some point in the near future, a murder suspect will try to use the defense that he was “merely performing an abortion in the 65th trimester.”

“For instance, in a 2006 interview Singer was asked point-blank: Would you kill a disabled baby? His response? Yes, if that was in the best interests of the baby and of the family as a whole.”
See, this is how you know that liberal thinking is born from a mental disorder. They say killing a disabled baby is okay, yet cry foul when a murderer is put to death.
There is simply no logic in that sort of divergent thinking. It’s crazy talk.

No new argument is needed. Murder is murder. And both infanticide and abortion are murder. Pure and simple.
Simply change the statement to "it should be allowable to kill infants because they're.......(black, asian, caucasian, muslim, christian, buddhist--fill in your favorite prejudice here).

Of course it's trite to bring up the Nazis, but when abortion/infanticide becomes an issue of "quality of life" for a child living outside the womb, we can see how close we are to the notion of "useless eater". Old people? Retarded people? Cerebral Palsy? Kill 'em all.
The compassionate, caring Progressives want to turn the clock back to 1930's Germany.

I’ve been using the “life as dynamic continuum” argument for years. In fact, Peter Singer applies the same logic. The main difference is that he attaches no intrinsic value to life. Therefore, in his worldview, any “ethical” or “progressive” reason can be used to justify the putting to death of any person for any reason with popular support.
The frog-in-the-boiling-pot tautology is overused but is most appropriate here.
