It’s funny you should say that because reading down the rest of the article, it says that many of the areas restaurants have either switched to or include items that adhere to the Muslim diet.

So an employer doesn’t have a right to require a certain uniform? They sure do.
I’m not a McDonalds fan since they became big supporters of the gay agenda but I hope they win this case.
It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when I hear about stories like this.
They need to face reality, Muslims will not be allowed to integrate and infiltrate our system according to their master plan of world domination.
Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system. Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components. Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called ‘religious rights'.
When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to ‘the reasonable’ Muslim demands for their ‘religious rights,’ they also get the other components under the table. Here’s how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).
As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:
At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:
From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. (United States).
At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats (Amsterdam - Mohammed cartoons).
After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France, the Muslim populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity. Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average would indicate.

.....you make an excellent point and I expect that everybody on this board knows it....my concern is that if this case makes it in front of a jury of “peers” they’ll side with the Muslim...the O.J. justice that Simpson got was only the beginning....jury nullification is a growing trend in American cities...it’s the minority’s way of getting back at Whitey....

Never mind the dish towels on their heads. The facial expressions and body language of those two would be enough to drive away customers. I would not have hired them on the grounds that their attitude and their approach leaves much to be desired.

That’s the next issue to come up. Muslims should not have to handle pork. It’s already happening in England with the women doctors and nurses objecting to not being allowed to cover their arms with clothing.

Can’t imagine it should have been an issue. They would just need an long sleeved version of the uniform and their headscarf. Isn’t employees’ hair supposed to be tied up or under a hat anyway? I’ve seen accommodations for Orthodox Jewish women who also cover their arms and often where something over their hair.
Apparently this McDonalds already serves Halal/Kosher food, I wonder if there was more to the story than was reported. Maybe they were rejected on some other basis and are just litigation happy? Maybe the manager did drop the ball.

I lived for three years in Senegal (about 85% Muslim). I lived in a 100% (except me) Muslim area It was as peaceful a place as I’ve ever been. I had exactly one person try to convert me and tell me I was wrong for being a Christian. Everyone else accepted me for who I was. I was there pre-9/11 but I am certain they would condemn terrorism
Admittedly, Senegalese Muslims are mainly Sufi and I am not blind to the evils of certain sects like Wahhabists who are murderous lunatic criminals. But painting with broad strokes misses a lot of subtlety.
