This is from a friend ( so I do not know this brave Captain Jeff) but feel it absolutely necessary to pass this along........
This is a first hand account from the nephew of one of our friends.
I don't know each of your personal political convictions, but I thought it was important enough to share. This is Jeff's first hand view of Senator Obama.

I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to 'The War Zone'. I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.
As the Soldiers were lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn't say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.
So really he was just here to make a showing for the American's back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.
I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheer leaders than from Senator, who wants to be the President of the United States . I just don't understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.
If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

His fakery and hornswaggling are evident to anyone who is willing to barely scratch the surface of the media blitz, idol-creation campagin he is running. Time and again he diplays what a farce he is on the positions he takes, the supposed care he shows, and the knowledge of almost all the issues he doesn't have.
This latest ",i>tour of unfit duty" is another esxample.

Looks like the handlers have given him the advice to stay away from the military, we can’t control what may be said or happen that will make you look less presidential. Ditto re the muslims. We can’t have any of them showing up on the evening news with you.
I know that what he says is true. Obama’s whole campaign is controlled and contrived. I hope that no American solider ever has to suffer by having Obama as President.
This is a duplicate post and it has already been refuted by the commanders in Afghanistan. That too was posted earlier.
On one hand I hope this email is factual, on the other hand I hope it’s not because there is no way BO is going to do anything but dismantle the military if he should (pity us) get elected President.
As much as I enjoy seeing negative reports about Obama, I decided to check Snopes before getting too excited. They don’t show it as being confirmed.

Whether it’s true or not, we should use it as propaganda against Obama.
In fact, I believe it’s true and the denials are from pro-Dem higher-ups in the military who are covering up for Obama. Frankly, it’s hard to understand how a member of the military can be a Democrat. They are traitors trying to destroy America and turn it into a socialist “paradise.”
At the officer lever, it's easy to understand when you realize that our Military Academies are mostly stuffed with Congressional appointees.
