Judging by the crowd in these photos, our Dubya is nowhere near as unpopular as the media and their phoney, jacked-up polls would have us believe.

I know the uber-cons among us would have a conniption fit, but I wish Condi was picked at McCain’s running mate. I know she’s always said she doesn’t want the job, but maybe she could be persuaded.

I just read that part of the story. As I said, he’s just such a gracious man.

My pleasure :)
the Snow family was on board Air Force One with President Bush!!!! No pics tho.
I checked everywhere, but I guess there weren't any. The family probably kept their distance from the cameras.

I have a feeling the Bushes will continue to be there for them, in many ways. So do I.

Subject aside, did anyone noticed the vault size door the SS guy is holding?. That Caddy must be rocket proof! That is an impressive door. I'm sure it could withstand a direct hit from almost anything.

I found this on Wikipedia. I thought the last line was funny:
The current Presidential State Car is a 2006 hand-crafted, armored version of the stretch Cadillac DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan) built on a GM four-wheel drive platform.[1] The vehicle was custom built by Centigon (formerly O'Gara, Hess & Eisenhardt).[1][2] It was first used on January 20, 2005 during the second inauguration parade of George W. Bush. The Secret Service refers to the heavily-armored vehicle as "the beast".[3]

Its a sign of the parallel universes in which we live that Condi Rice, and formerly Colin Powell, are invisible to democrats. How else could BOs speech writers have written in his Berlin speech that he looked different from any other American who had ever come to address them? I know ... In Obama's mind I'm sure he believes there isn't--and never has been--anyone like him.
Incredible arrogance. And ignorance.

Hi, Wolfstar :) It's great to see you on the Dose again.
Your tag line is hilariously accurate.
LOL, thanks. I had a few more "uhhs" and "umms" in there at first, but I couldn't fit them all in :)

I had a few more "uhhs" and "umms" in there at first, but I couldn't fit them all in.Never fear. There will be plenty of other opportunities to quote the "Citizen of the World." Of course, all the quotes will be much like prior ones, but hey. They say repetition is the best way to learn, and we must get BHO's message drummed into our dear little heads.
Or else the brown shirts will be coming for us.

Speaking of phony jacked-up media polls, did you catch the news today about how lopsided in favor of Dems that political donations are from media types, including people at Fox News? So somebody explain to me again why we should believe any of the polls commissioned by any media organization? Especially the kind of poll that can never be measured against any independent objective criteria?
I mean...exactly how does one objectively determine the accuracy (and fairness) of a total media PR invention like a "presidential approval rating." It originally was a device Gallup, or some other such firm, invented six or seven decades ago to help boost newspaper circulation (and Gallup's own revenues).
Just sayin...

silent_jonny: THANK YOU for posting tonight’s very entertaining DOSE — the featured photo is a riot!! [And what the President did for Tony Snow’s family is priceless!]

You can watch 4 videoclips of the President’s trip to Peoria here: [Note: One of the videoclips features the President’s adorable interaction with ‘Stanley’!]

Yep, our President is just so unpopular [In their quest to belittle the President, the MSM not only ‘manufactures’ low JA ratings; they also refuse to report his 60% PERSONAL APPROVAL RATING!]
“A SMASHING SUCCESS”
. . . According to a source at the private luncheon held at Weaver Farms in Peoria, the president spoke for about 35 minutes. Another source close to the Schock campaign said 1,400 people paid $500 to attend the event. Photos with President Bush, which went for a $5,000 contribution, were at “capacity” according to the source.
