Thanks for the ping. I look forward to the Dose every night. What a wonderful man President Bush is to open his life to Tony Snow’s family. God Bless this man.

I mean...exactly how does one objectively determine the accuracy (and fairness) of a total media PR invention like a "presidential approval rating."

Very good question.

Cadillac DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan) built on a GM four-wheel drive platform.

4X4 Caddy?!...now that's a machine I would like to get my hands on!

Thanks for the ping.

No problem :)

What a wonderful man President Bush is to open his life to Tony Snow’s family.

Absolutely. That was a very thoughtful and generous gesture. I can't imagine how much this means for the Snow family.

I just love the baby pics, and W's laughter is contagious. He got such a big kick out of it. And look how delightfully gracious he is to the volunteer and principal at the airport. God .. are we ever going to miss this dear man ... it's gonna be brutal.

snugs .. when you can, I'd love this on a BIG plasma tv .. it's so precious. I just love it. Thank you!

Very good question.

One a woefully tiny number of people ever think to ask themselves, let alone pose to media types. On the whole, people are way too blindly accepting of such nonsense.

I have zero faith in any polls other than those within a week or two of an election for this exact reason. There is no way to objectively and independently measure the accuracy or fairness of a poll except against an actual event for which a poll purports to measure results in advance.

For example, a company can evaluate the accuracy of a poll taken to gauge public reaction to a new product, because sales will either support the poll's results or not. Actual election results can be compared to polls taken shortly before that election. In contrast, polls taken between elections or months prior to an election can never be verified independently and objectively.

The worst are polls that don't measure anything real, like "approval ratings." Such polls are pure scams, done for exactly the same reason other scams are done -- to make money for the scammer. In modern politics, they are also commissioned by people who want to manipulate public opinion, not objectively measure it.

Yes I did, looks like it weighs more than my Dodge Neon. A RPG would probably bounce right off it!

Is that a fire engine which I think you call fire trucks in the background?

I suppose they have one around when Marine One is taking off never thought about it before or do they have one on site at all times?

It was indeed and I am sure an experience that the children even though at present they must still be very raw will remember and talk about for years to come.

Poor little Logan does not look as if he is enjoying the experience I bet those photos will be laughed over in years to come.

What is the betting someone will post them over the locality when he is 18 or 21.

What a cutie with those shades reminds me the photo I posted for MamaB of her great grand daughter yesterday.

I love seeing the President with babies you just know it is not just another photo op duty for him. Yes of course it is but one he loves and many of the babies appreciate the joy in which he carries out this task.

I suspect he will miss the ability to do this once he is no longer President. Of course he still will be freer to do this that the average male because of who he was.

I find is so sad that the average man in the street is now denied the simple joy of being able to talk to a mother and small child and heaven forbid that he might want to touch the child in a normal decent manner. Immediately the mother would raise the alarm and say the man is molesting or trying to kidnap her baby. It is a sad twisted world we now live in.

You must have to be a weight lifter or something similar to open that door with the comparative ease they seem to do.

I am sure they do and it so sad that it now denied to the average person in the street. I am so pleased I do still remember a time when a stranger could go up to a mother in the street talk about the child and ask to hold or give them a kiss etc and no one thought anything about it apart from what a lovely person who bothered to take time out to talk to my child and congratulate me on how I am dressing and bringing them up.
