I didn’t care for Iron Man nearly as much as Dark Knight. Iron Man was too anti-military and too predictable to me.
The Dark Knight is one of the more intense movies I’ve seen, and I loved it. Iron Man was kinda goofy in comparison.
I walked into a theatre after a unit of Army (personel) were walking out of the last showing of Iron Man. They seemed to like it (I didn’t find it anti-Military, but merely anti-bureaucratic), maybe it was just me. Afterall the military wasn’t attacked, but bureaucrats behind the “war industry” sure were.
Nothing in Iron Man struck me as anti-military. The military was barely involved.
It maybe my memory is bad, but I seem to remember the military being encouraged a lot in Iron Man.
Really, I thought Iron Man was extremely pro-military. His company was the problem, not the military.
But the Dark Knight was a whole different level of intensity. Sure, an F22 dogfight is a rush, but the up-close, in your face threats and descent into insanity was something else. Very cool movie.
