Interesting TNR article here. The thing is about how the Obama campaign's hubris is starting to piss off the media. In particular an incident with a NYT reporter is written about in some length. When you get lefty rags like TNR openly making admissions like the quote below, and whining about how closed and controlling the Obama campaign is, it sounds to me like the campaign's honeymoon is just about over.
...The press certainly helped Obama get so far so fast; the question is, how far can he get if his campaign alienates them?...Of course this could all be a pack of Beauchampian lies. After all, this is The New Republic and their dogged pursuit of quality reporting has taken a few hits lately. So take it all with a grain of salt. I'm pretty sure the unicorns are still grazing peacefully and sunshine continues to flow out the Messiah's ass as always....But, as Obama ascended from underdog to front-runner to presumptive nominee, the flame seems to have dwindled. Reporters who cover Obama these days grouse that Obama's flacks shroud the campaign in secrecy and provide little to no access. "They're more disciplined than the Bush people," a reporter on the Obama trail gripes...
There’s nothing cold as ashes after the fire is gone.
Are Americans really ready to see an across the board reduction of their take home pay?
Great campaign issue, along with domestic drilling for oil, national security, etc. If McCain doesn't pound this home, especially in the inevitable TV debates, he's foolishly throwing away another opportunity to expose Obama and the Democrats for the enemies of the people they really are, in terms of policy issues, which are always fair game.
Now, who will be the one to wake up John McCain and remind him he's in a tough battle that requires him to fight his opponent?
-if YOU care about this country get the word out in your own cirlce of influence.....we ALL need to pound home those basics....even with the disgruntled conservatives, of which I am one. you can’t leave it all to McCain, he’s gonna need all the help he can get!
I referred them to your post #3 specifically because it predicts the ghastly Obama future succinctly and in a nutshell.
Man, if we all did this, it would blanket all 57 states. Too many freeepers want to read and post but not take the trouble to take action.
Consider forwarding this thread with a reference to #3 AS A PERSONAL FREEP, fer cryin' out loud!
If you don't know how to forward an email with an FR link, posit the question on this thread and it shall be answereth unto you.

Unfortunately the whole Republican party allowed the Democrat and the media to drill into people's head that the tax cuts were for the rich only. They let that lie go for 5 years. It's ingrained into people's head which makes it easy for the Democrats to say we are getting rid of Bush's tax cuts. Little do they realize that with the tax cuts gone, their take home pay will shrink.
You don’t piss off your handlers without consequences.
Yes.
As long as they can afford their cable bill, so they can keep watching "Celebrity Dancing with the American Idols who Want to be Millionaires with Regis and Kelly on the next Oprah".
Bread and circuses. That's what the American people want.
And reid says $5.00 a gallon is NOT too much to pay for gas.
However, I thought I saw where gas stamps were being taken into consideration.
Is it me or is the arc of popularity wanning on Obama a bit early? Even John Kerry wasn’t hurdling this quickly toward a punch line. It was September before Swift Boats really were in the public consciousness and September when Al Gore’s invention of the internet became a smirk line.
Today, Obama said he has already committed the United States to more troops in Afghanistan (as though he were already president). Even the press are starting to roll their eyes.
