You know they got that funny calendar. When your years are 354 or 355 days long it gets confusing.

Since the beginning of the month is dependent on sighting the new crescent moon, people born late in the month may or may not have a birthday depending on the weather and timing of the lunar phase. It’s like being born on February 29 and every year may or may not be a leap year without any way of telling.

Hebrews, Christians, Chinese, Hindus, Egyptians, Persians all devised a calendar that more or less stayed in sync with the seasons (at least over any one lifetime.) Only the Mooselimbs have a calendar in which anniversaries that occur in winter in your youth are in summer twenty years later, only to come back to winter again in twenty years.
