“WORSE than Blackmun”
I was reading about Blackmun just yesterday [Mark Levin’s ‘Men in Black’].
For those who don’t know, Nixon appointed Blackmun. The justice was, if I recall, Nixon’s third choice. I don’t believe that the rats ever allowed Nixon to ever choose his first choices. Nixon asked Blackmun if his wife would be successfully wooed in DC parties. Blackmun scoffed at the question in later years. But that apparently was what did occur. [Nixon was right to be concerned about her.] Blackmun’s wife turned into a DC beltway insider. She told a pro-choice law clerk that she was trying to work him over at home. Between their tag-teaming, Blackmun ignored all natural law and had to ‘commune’ in the ethors of the Constitution to divine what was never there.
After he turned left, he received hate-mail which alienated him from the right. At the same time, he received fan mail that made him think he was doing good work. It should sicken any scholar of law that a Supreme Sandwich Kangeroo Court ‘Justice’ would ever be moved by fan mail or hate mail.
He, like many other justices in that court, voiced concern about overpopulation. I believe THAT was the root of their decision— fear of the ‘surplus’ population.
