"That’s simply not ok to threaten our leaders. And I mean regardless of party, something a liberal would not understand."

I just learned recently that here, in Ashland, Ore. (where I, unfortunately, live) during last year's July 4th parade an effigy of our current president was dragged behind a vehicle - as part of the parade!

Needless to say, Ashland is a wretched hive of scum and villainy [Liberal fruits-n-nuts].

That sounds like free speech. Tasteless speech, but free speech nonetheless. I don't see that as advocating violence against our leaders. It's a shame that such things are considered tolerable though.

Free speech it may be, but the sentiment expressed is clear.

"The US President needs a lynching and a dragging through the streets"

This is the sort of thing I'd expect from Islamofanatics, not US citizens.

Disagree with policies all you like, I say, but at least respect the office.

"And while I would actually find war crimes trials to be interesting- if for the truth that it might uncover."

Did you see this thread?

[Former Senator] Gravel: Take Bush to The Hague

In a Monday video conference with Press TV, the former Alaska senator said President Bush does not 'deserve' to be impeached for invading Afghanistan and Iraq, which has resulted in the loss of 'millions of lives'.

"An Impeachment just means you would only take away his (Bush's) presidency. Well, he is almost done (with) his presidency. What really needs to happen is that these people have to be held accountable for the crimes they have committed," the 78-year-old Democrat said referring to the US president and Vice President Dick Cheney.

"If you impeach president and vice president, Nancy Pelosi is going to become president; that is not going happen," Gravel added.

Equating the actions of President Bush to those of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir earns this post the . . .

"There is no longer any doubt as to whether the current administration has committed war crimes."

Yeah, sure...in the same way there's no doubt that Brett Favre will give birth to a healthy 9 pound boy next month.

General Taguba is a coward who never had the guts to say any of this stuff when he still wore the uniform. Cram him and his opinion in whichever orifice your species traditionally crams things.

I get your point - but I'd like to be able to vote for someone I actually want to vote for (as opposed to - forced to vote for - in order to keep someone else from being voted for).

In the end I may just have to do my doody and vote for Juan Hernandez, er, I mean, John McCain.

Hey, great photo! The GSD looks exactly like Big Tess did when she was a pup. I'm not normally a fan of cats but this shot is classic! "Pride goeth before a fall..." or something like that. OK if I swipe it?
