John McCain can easily draw a clear contrast with Barack Obama in just three words: Substance over Show. Virtually everything Obama does, he does for show. His recent trip the Middle East and Europe was a stunning example of this.
John McCain has made EIGHT trips to Iraq since the beginning of the war, with little or no fanfare. In doing so, he never failed to spend time talking with the troops as well as the senior officers there.
John McCain called for the surge almost two years before it was enacted, and has consistently made recommendations on how to WIN the war.
Whetehr you like his immigration position or not, John McCain has promoted efforts to solve the issue of illegal immigration in America, he hasn't just talked about it. When he realized the American People's desire for border security first, he shifted his priorities. He now favors secure borders first, then a solution to the immigration problem.
He also recognized that energy independence cannot be solved by alternative solutions alone, but with a mix of increased exploration and alternative solutions, which is consistent with the voters.
Further, he does not want to disemble the greatest health care system in the world, rather, he wants states to address health care in a manner that will meet their geographic and demographic needs, rather than a single, huge federal bereaucracy.
Finally, he knows how to work across the aisle. Like them or not, McCain has many bills that bear his name, both from the House and the Senate. He has fearlessly pressed for bipartisanship and has a history of leadership in bipartisan issues.
His opponent, Photo-Op Barack, takes every opportunity to turn every speech, every handshake, every workout at the gym into a Hollywood production. He is often called a rock star, but even most rock stars write their own music.
America has a clear choice in November, a liberal who will raise your taxes and votes to the left of Bernie Sanders, a self-described Socialist, or an American Hero who is a mainstream politician and has worked for many years to improve the America he loves.
This election is substance over show.
Mega Bump.
One of the things I couldn’t stand about Kerry, it was all about who is cool and the cool kid. For a political theology that bases itself upon being smarter than anybody else, you sure got some shallowheaded people to bring to the forefront and to ooh and aah with. Just like Kerry, except Kerry was treated more negatively than Can Do No Wrong Obama, you have the cool clique.
Like I said, this is one of those elections that I cannot stand. Obama, his minions, even they can convince immortal deities to say that everybody who votes will vote Obama. That is how PC it is. If you don’t, it is like joining an Underground scene. You are not following the leader or history’s tablet. That makes me nauseous.
“Photo-op Barack” I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!! lol
Replace American Hero with Dole and Barack with Clinton - look who ended up winning.
Yes, strength through superficial association. Strange how massless ideology can attract matter and exert force.
Yes, but McCain better find some other substance to run on besides the war. That is not enough.
-Foreign Policy
-Energy Independence
-Marriage and Right to Life
-Reduced Spending
Sounds like some good substance.
Every time Obama says “I respect John McCain’s lifetime of service to our country” it’s his way of relegating McCain to the past, and throws experience under the bus.
Yep, Photo-Op Barrack “Never met a camera he didn’t LOVE”
True. The American public does not want war and McCain means more war to them. The more he talks about war, the more votes he loses. Obama to the public means no war and all that money can be spent here to better their lives. I believe that is the perception of independent voters and their votes elect the president. They will not vote for a war president.
If these are the two choices, then I choose "NONE OF THE ABOVE"

Do ya thunk Obama and Chuckie Scammer have the sam mums?
He's the black Cindy Sheman.
Well you are going to get one or the other, depends on who you vote for. Sitting home is a vote for Obama. Voting for an independent is a vote for Obama. Spoiling a ballot is a vote for Obama.
And when Obama does the things he will do, don’t complain if that’s who you voted for.
We think alike...unfortunately. I had just send on an e-mail to a friend saying Sen. McCain was acting very much like former Sen. Dole.
You two are not exactly alone. The term “McDole” flashed through my mind as I read this superficial little piece. (And let’s throw in some Jerry Ford for the “Iraq-Pakistan border” gaffe.) Surely, lurking on the horizon is the equivalent of Dole’s tumble off the stage.
Talk about chutzpah. Frank Rich of the NYSlimes has written a column insisting that the reason for the polls being so close is that the MEDIA is giving McCain a pass.
They should be demanding that it is he, McCain, who should be admitting he was wrong when voting to go to war. blah blah blah
