Not a good choice.
Dear God let this not be true!
Powell has refused to even endorse anyone.
And he and his wife hate getting into National politics.
McCain would be stupid to do this because Obama already has the black vote sewn up.
And it’s just a rumor, no different than hope.
Just more rumormill stuff. I doubt he would offer the position to Powell, and I do believe Powell is on record saying he will not be on any ticket. Besides, we all know that McCain needs to energize the ticket with someone younger and I don’t think Powell fits that bill.
I think this is just more info to keep McCain’s name in the news coverage, since the only way the media pay attention to him is through this kind of stuff.
It's the "McCain Will Pick Blank Blank Blank as His Running Mate Rumor of the Week!"
Colin Powell is supporting Obama.
Epic bad choice. Might as well pick Lincoln Chafee... or Slick Willard *omney.
Powell turned Bush down in 2000, said he did not want the politics involved in being Veep.
LLS
Powell is pro abortion. I doubt McCain would pick a pro abort for his VP.
Also, Powell is pro affirmative action. It would be strange for McCain to come out against affirmative action last week, and then select a pro affirmative action VP.

To siphon off Obama voters McCain should pick a woman VP, not a black looking military man.
As pointed out here yesterday, Powell was behind
Hagel, who is with Obama.
So, it would show the absence of judgment if Sen. McCain does.
Powell is also 71.
They could get the AARP vote lol.
That’s what I thought too. I don’t think he’s made an official endorsement though.

Not a believable rumor.
