McCain Has Mole-Like Skin Removed

July 28, 2008 2:06 PM

ABC News' Bret Hovell Reports: John McCain had a small piece of mole-like skin removed from his right temple this morning at a regularly scheduled dermatological checkup in Phoenix.

"It was just a precautionary measure," a campaign aide said when she told reporters about the procedure aboard McCain's plane.

McCain can be seen wearing a bandage on that spot.

The aide said that it was "nothing that looked in any way cancerous."

My 88-year-old dad has had a number of them removed. The first one was in his 30’s. Everyone in our family remains on our own “skin watches.”

We always believed that if you get ‘em off soon enough, they shouldn’t kill ya’.

God bless Senator McCain. May this health issue be the minor issue it appears to be.

John McCain is a four-time survivor of melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. In 2000 he had a spot on his left temple removed along with more than thirty lymph nodes on the left side of his face and neck. The procedure was successful, but left McCain with a large scar running the length of his face.

The aide was unable to describe to reporters whether any pathology studies had been conducted on the removed skin.

Like it or not. His cancer will be an issue. Barry and his RATS won't overtly use it, but surrogate talking heads will and there'll be one heck of a whispering campaign.

On the other hand, Barry isn't exactly healthy as a horse either. His trip to the Dr last night about his "sore hip" which he's had for "weeks" and X-Ray taken means two things.

  1. He has Trochanteric Bursitis of the Hip
    and......
  2. The X-Ray was taken to rule out, or confirm, Arthritis in his Hip Joint.
For a 46yo 'gym rat' (/s) like Barry both Bursitis and Arthritis are or would be expected. But McCain won't use any health issues against Obama, he'll sit there and take the cheap shots from the Rats about his cancer.

I'm not an MD, nor did I stay in a Holiday Inn last night. I have Bursitis in my left hip and Osteoarthritis in my left knee (knee replacement coming) so I know it when I see it. And given when Barry went to the Dr, he's in a world of hurt right now. Even sleeping is a problem if he rolls over onto that hip.

Perhaps THEN, we'd have a better chance of not only WINNING, but forwarding a CONSERVATIVE, AMERICA/AMERICANS-FIRST agenda.

Now, Now

According to the McCainiacs talking about or pointing out the many deficiencies of John McCain is only going to get Obama elected.

Be a good little Republican (according to the McCainiacs) and keep your thoughts to yourself, throw your principles overboard, and accept what ever McCain has decided is the position that will give him the most votes.

Remember, this election is not about principle, and especially not conservative principle, it is all about winning at any cost while they move the party to the left and hopefully (according again to McCain and his cronies) forever.

That's one point of view. Another is that Obama is such a marxist and defeatist the principled thing to do is to keep him from being the CIC at all costs. If that includes supporting McCain so be it.

The only ones responsible for the handing the Keys to Congress were the GOP congressmen/congresswomen themselves with their big-government solutions, their pork, their refusal to take a small-government approach to almost everything. The scandals did not help either.

Trying to blame the voters who chose not to vote Republican (not me) is assinine.

Provide a better product if you want to get more voters, do not nominate more of the same like John McCain.

That is just illogical.

That's one point of view.

You ignore this at your own peril, your parties peril, and your country's peril.

LOL. I don’t think so. First of all, I can take care of me and mine. Second of all, I have no party per se though I do vote republican almost exclusively. And thirdly the danger to this country right now comes from marxism. The liberals destroyed the urban family with the Great Society and now you want to give them a shot at the suburbanites and exurbanites while allowing jihadists to run wild again? I prefer McCain over that any time despite his shortcomings, but hey that’s just me.

We lost in 2006 because of “macaca”, “Foleygate” being blamed on a “culture of corruption” in the GOP, and a toe tapper.

That was what got the press in the runup to the election, not that Republicans has fallen off of pushing for conservative ideals.

Pelosi promised voters the most ethical congress in history.

How has that worked out?

I'll pounce on this development!

McCain has had multiple magligant melanoma's. There are probably others lying dormant.

I know way more about Melanoma that I ever thought possible.
