Ha! While the cop may have been in the wrong, the bicyclist was acting illegally, which mitigates things. A few more arrests like that, and Critical Mass may start to rethink their actions. Bicycles belong on bike paths or sidewalks, not the road.

Bicycles belong on bike paths or sidewalks, not the road.

Actually according to Colorado Revised Statutes, bicycles are not allow on sidewalks. They are allowed only on roadways and even that in limited circumstances. Although here you will find cops that will just give a warning and some cops will impound your bike on sight without a warning.
