I actually hurt for Elizabeth Edwards. It is difficult enough to die of cancer - but to know that your husband has already picked your replacement and is choosing his new family over his own wife and children would be almost too much to bear.
I pray that she will find peace and happiness at the feet of a loving God, and that her children will be raised by someone who truly loves them, rather than someone who would so publicly disgrace his own family.

Speaking as a guy I agree, no fan of Elizabeth Edwards, but she is fighting a brave battle against cancer and to have this dumped on her at this vulnerable time by her cutesy husband ... is reprehensible in the extreme.
On the other hand ... she did marry the dirt bag.
And worse still, that he has picked such a space cadet as the new mother of HER children!
She should show him, and live for 10 more years.
I too feel horrible for this woman. She doesn’t deserve this treatment. She seems like she has always put her husband before herself. Keeping the news that she had cancer, until after the election, to spare him.
