Be careful. Robert Welch, the founder of the John Birch Society, was a Unitarian (and an agnostic).

Meanwhile similar acts of violence committed by muslims are downplayed or ignored.Very good point. The media picks and chooses.

What they are NOT reporting is that his ex-wife is a long time member of the church.Blood of Tyrants pointed out the above. I didn't know that part of the story. I don't know if the rest of you knew about it, but here's an article talking more about the ex-wife belonging to that church:
SNIP: Adkisson's ex-wife once belonged to the church but hadn't attended in years, said Ted Jones, the congregation's president. Police spokesman Darrell DeBusk declined to comment on whether investigators think the ex-wife's link was a factor in the attack.... court records reviewed by The Associated Press show that his former wife obtained an order of protection in March 2000 while the two were still married and living in the Knoxville suburb of Powell. The couple had been married for nearly 10 years when Liza Alexander wrote in requesting the order that Adkisson threatened "to blow my brains out and then blow his own brains out." She told a judge she feared for her life.
So, this guy has been having problems for a long time. Btw, notice how the article mentions at the end that he was in the army for a few years back in the '70's. Now how is that relevant to the story?

The Unitarian Church is sort of like Obama, no morals, no direction, just a lot of feel good fluff

Did you hear the one about the two Unitarian Universalists that were doing mission work? They came up to a door, rang the bell and when the homeowner answered, they asked: Hello, may we speak with you a moment? What do we believe about God?LOL!

Most conservatives I know would rather starve than be on food stamps. Which is why the guy attempted "suicide by cop". His own statement, he said he fully expected to be killed by police. The fact that some in the church would gang-tackle him never crossed his mind.

LOL!
I wish it was intentional.
