Sen. Barack Obama told a meeting in Chicago the U.S. should review how it can make amends for "offenses" committed during its history.
And one author is speculating that might even include reparations for al-Qaida soldiers, since, after all, they've been held in violation of their "rights."
Obama's comments came in a meeting with members of UNITY '08, an event for journalists who claim membership in various minorities.
Obama, according to the report in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, stopped just short of endorsing an official U.S. apology to various groups. He said instead the nation should acknowledge treating certain groups poorly.

Oh, here we go again. The Jesse and Al Two-Step done to the "I'm a Victim" song, complete with blackface. Get over it. They trot out this excuse continually and consistently and we've thrown billions at the problem and they fritter it away.
Rather than blame your current state on events of 150 years ago, step up to the plate, admit you have some serious problems that you need to fix first, and then let's talk about additional help. We're done with the handouts, Obama, and trying to pander to these groups by passing out more of my money is disgusting. I'll be happy to give them a hand up when I see them working to solve their own problems, like ditching the victim mentality proffered by Jesse and Al. The handouts should end, let alone pay them more for something that transpired 150 years ago.

There is going to be NO cash given to anyone for exactly the reason that you point out. Who gets it? Who pays it?
No, what it will be is a tax increase, and some sort of bureaucratic program set up that will give money to the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Probably other leftwing orgs as well, like planned parenthood, etc.
That is how “reparations” will work.
From an Affirmative Action baby making more in a month ($300K / 12 = $25K) "outreaching" in Chicago community than a lot of GIs in Iraq are making in a year.

you know the qualified people who lost out on jobs, raises, promotions, admission to college, etc only because they were NOT black???
