alright!

why don’t we bring the troops home to victory parades?

i can hear it now: john phillip sousa...

oh, that’s right! now the left controls patriotism.

no parades. no patriotic music. no happiness. no american flags.

It’s sad that a lot you say is true but there’s a lot of us here that aren’t lefties.

So Cal, I drove down to San Diego for work Thursday and saw the Marines are building a pier off Pendleton. Know anything about that?

Thought I would stick this in here...My guy...

Sen. Cornyn is leading a campaign to protect the right to vote for U.S. military personnel serving overseas. He is working to advance several steps that would significantly improve the process of delivering military absentee ballots to ensure every vote counts. Sen. Cornyn introduced the Military Voting Protection Act in the Senate and is also pressing for administrative solutions. He believes those who defend our freedom and security must be guaranteed democracy’s highest rights and privileges.

This is an important issue. Our military was short changed with the Gore fiasco. The Marxist know they would lose for sure if the military got their votes in.

Bump for Sen. Cornyn and thanks for posting. The Gore thing was a huge fiasco and heads should have rolled over it.

I have lived my entire life of fifty years in So Cal, and made the trip to SD at least once a year since I was in my mother's womb. I have never seen such a thing going on at the base.

It was off the flat area below the bluffs off the coast. The area they often have tents and where the choppers circle overhead over the freeway. I just never thought I'd see a pier jutting out into the water there. I assume it's to load fuel or supplies of some type.

Which is why the marines want to take over in Afghan.
They said that last fall.

I expect the MEF to reduce to a MEB this year in Anbar.
Overwatch.

Two Iraqi national army divisions in Anbar are now fully "stood up," and the province the size of North Carolina west of Baghdad has seen its police forces swell from about 5,000 three years ago to about 28,000 today.

Now I believe, myself, that the secretary of state, the secretary of defense and you have to make your own decision as to what the president knows: that this war is lost, that the surge is not accomplishing anything," Harry Reid, D-Nev., told reporters.

What a putz.

I believe that could happen.

Haven’t heard any more from Army LtGen Kearney since the IG investigation started on him, if he’s out of the picture I think the Marines will be a lot happier.

Note:
If the MEF reduces to a MEB.
The 3/101 bde does not plan to have a US replacement, turning over to IA 17th Div.

That is two of the 3 Bdes planned to reduce by end-year...

I expect the third will be from Kirkuk where the IP already is lead in the cities and the IA works the rural areas.

12 combat Bdes in Iraq. To be announced in Sep.

Oh, he's definitely a whiner.

Such a small-minded handwringing excuse for a man with a contrived arrogant attitude to boot will never serve this nation well.
