Suddenly he's for drilling only after he's been on the losing side of the issue. If he tries to claim he was for it before then the one question the MSM should ask him is, why aren't we drilling now?
If he claims Pelosi and Reid run the farm then he can't claim to be a leader.

June 20, 2008....http://www.cnn.com

Obama, speaking to Democratic governors in Chicago, Illinois, hit McCain hard for his support of the gas tax “holiday” as well as drilling off the U.S. coasts.

Obama told the 16 governors attending an economic summit at the Chicago History Museum that McCain “has essentially embraced” President Bush’s energy policy.

“When I hear McCain say that he is now in favor of the same oil drilling off the coast that he was opposed to just a week ago, what he doesn’t tell you is that George Bush’s own energy department has said that this would have no impact on consumers until 2030,” he said, “no appreciable impact for the next 22 years. Something they’re not telling consumers.”

At an afternoon news conference in Jacksonville, Florida, Obama continued to lash out at McCain’s oil drilling policy.

“John McCain’s proposal, George Bush’s proposal to drill offshore here in Florida, and other places around the country, would not provide families with any relief, this year, next year, five years from now,” he said. “Believe me, if I thought there was any evidence at all that drilling could save people money who are struggling to fill up their gas tanks by this summer or the next few years, I would consider it, but it won’t.”

He'll probably give a most memorable speech again filled with lofty and soaring rhetoric. It will be one that no one can quote or even vaguely remember in a few hours, but the media will gush and fawn, like school girls seeing a teen idle. Beyond that he'll explain that those who do not agree with him are bringing up race and pointing out that he is black, right after he's explained how important it is that he is black and the first black man with a real chance to be president. Then, he'll say how disgusting it is that his opponent has chosen to make an issue of his race, and that McCain is running a dirty campaign appealing to bigotry and race. I'm pretty sure it will be something as coherent as that.

Senate OKs gulf drilling
Wednesday, August 2, 2006
excerpt from Obama’s website

Following up on recent House passage of a bill to end the ban, the Senate on Tuesday approved a measure to allow oil and gas development in a portion of the Gulf of Mexico's coastal waters.

“This bill is welcome news for the consumers of the United States,” said Rep. Pete Domenici (R-N.M.), chairman of the Senate Energy Committee, just before the Senate approved the measure by a bipartisan 71-25 vote.

Obama voted against the bill and said the Republican leadership was being “dishonest” by believing the nation's energy problem could be solved with more drilling.

His moonbat base will know that Boma is only saying what he must in order to win. They will lay low, as Rev. Wright has done, after he warned us that Boma will have to say things to get elected. It is US who must know that he will revert back to wild-eyed socialism if elected.

Hope a reporter asks him, why he has reversed his position on drilling, when 2 days ago The Messiah told everyone that inflating tires would solve the crisis.

Oh, it gets better than that...
Obama's entire house of (race) cards is beginning to collapse.
Remember, he became the first candidate ever to opt out of public financing. That means his campaign must be funded entirely by his moon-bat base.
And now he's stuck in a lose-lose situation. He needs to embrace mainstream policies that his base reviles, but he can't because he needs their money. He needs both to have a chance at winning, but he must pick one or the other.

His explanation will be, that he still thinks it will do nothing short term, (keep those tires aired up) however, in the interest of getting along and working across the aisle I will go along with it to compromise.

(polls show I need to do this to have a chance)

I'm hearing that Warren Buffet is ready to ditch Obama if he doesn't retract his “windfall profits tax” on oil companies. To pay for Obama’s one time rebate would take every single cent the oil companies made in real profits last year. The real cost would be $130 billion not the $50 billion he claims.

Reason why I suspect Obama has Attention deificit, with DSM-IV criteria for ADHD(symptoms) from;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attention-deficit_hyperactivity_disorder

1. Often forgetful in daily activities.

Example: Obama doesn’t pay much attention to McCains campaign adds, yet he knows what isn’t in them,

2. Often has trouble keeping attention on tasks or play activities.

Example: Joe Bidens observations;

Biden wasn’t always defending Obama...

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/07/17/1204594.aspx

On Aug. 1, 2007, when Obama unveiled his counterterrorism agenda, the Biden camp fired off a snarky email congratulating him for his “Johnny-come-lately position” on Afghanistan, noting that during two Foreign Relations Committee hearings on Afghanistan and other subjects, Obama didn’t ask questions about the Taliban, Al Qaeda, or Afghanistan.

3. Often forgetful in daily activities.

Example: Obama says ahhhhh all the time

4. Often avoids, dislikes, or doesn’t want to do things that take a lot of mental effort for a long period of time (such as schoolwork or homework).

Example: Obama only need to spend 1 day in Iraq to study for a conclusion

I think he will pretend to throw them under the bus but I don't think he would do it because he's never gone against them before. He just took the convenient answer in offshore drilling because he knows 72% thought he was on the wrong side of the issue.

Obama.....”There’s no doubt that when it comes to our treatment of Native Americans as well as other persons of color in this country, we’ve got some very sad and difficult things to account for,” Obama told the convention.

“I personally would want to see our tragic history, or the tragic elements of our history, acknowledged,” he told conventioneers.

“I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it’s Native Americans or African-American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the U.S. government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds,” he said.

Thou shalt not criticize Lord Obama. LMAO. I hope many Americans see this.

Republicans should rejoice. Be confident! He's imploding. Polls show the growing backlash against him. He's being defined as an empty suit, an arrogant demagogue, the vain presumptuousness, the media's celebrity choice.

Lord Obama is letting us all know today what makes him vulnerable. He's on the defensive. This press conference is the behavior of an inexperienced rookie. It will show in his answers (so pay attention).

I cannot wait to know what else bothers him, and add more to his tally of gaffes.
