The Christian Bible teaches that it is appointed unto each human once to die and then the judgment. If we believe those little one sin the womb are fellow human beings, then we ought apply that designation in a way that acknowledges the horrific lost due to their intentioned demise ... I call that murder since it is intentioned termination by violent means of the human being alive in the womb. What God does witht he soul and spirit of such slaughtered little ones has not been revealed to me or anyone else, as far as I know. But the sad fact is, as a Christian I count the abortion demise as yet another fellow human being who will never occupy community in my world, your world, or the world of the author of the article. That's a tragic loss to community due to intentioned slaughter without just cause.
That said, I agree with you that there are just reasons to allow termination of pregnancies, but such just cause must--for the sake of rightness--not make an automatic death sentence upon an innocent alive other human being if there is any way to avoid the death of the innocent.
A pregnancy that threatens to kill the mother must remain the right of the mother to terminate--to save her own life--else our common law heritage of self-defense means little when pressed to adjudicate rightly for the ultimate benefit of the innocent in society.
Just for clarification: ‘little one sin the womb’ should read ‘little ones in the womb’ ... I do not believe the little ones in the womb can sin.
Well written.
