Cantor is married to Diana Fine and they maintain a kosher home.
Cantor is a supporter of strong US-Israel, cosponsoring legislation that would cut off all U.S. taxpayer aid to the Palestinian Authority and another bill calling for an end to taxpayer aid to the Palestinians until they stop unauthorized excavations on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
Cantor's cousin, Daniel Cantor Wultz, died as the result of a suicide bombing in Tel Aviv which was carried out by Islamic Jihad on April 17, 2006.
I'm not 100 % convinced yet wheter a Governor wouldn't be better a choice, but I'd get fully behind Cantor if he were McCain's pick. Interesting.
45 years old.
God love him and his family.
I would be proud to have him in a position of power.
However, what are his stands on other matters?
Us bitter people who cling to our religions and guns, and who, apparently, have "antipathy" to those who don't look like us are concerned about that.
Psyche..! ;o)
Please read the posts on the first page of this thread. You can read his entire voting record there. He is a pro-life, pro-gun, pro-family Conservative. Excellent conservative ratings and hated by the liberals.
It’s the McCain Running Mate Rumor of the Day!
LOL!
I know...that’s why I ended my post with “Psyche..! ;o)”
He’s a dang good guy.
You need to quit being so serious. Life is better that way.
:o) Sorry, thought you missed the posts on his voting record and seriously asked about info on his stances on the issues, so I tried to give a sober information. ;o)
Thanks!
I came back here because I wanted to make sure you understood what I meant.
I don’t want to hurt anyone.
SolidWood...you are a very nice person. ;o)
NumbersUSA gives him a recent "D" score on AMNESTY for illegal aliens.
In fact, in the Virginia delegation, he scores in the lower bottom, the upper half being more hard line on Amnesty.
He is horrendous on LEGAL IMMIGRATION taking away jobs from Americans it would seem.
Of course, none of this matters, since Juan McCain would a) grant blanket Amnesty and b) have Juan Hernandez as his illegal alien advisor, regardles of what any Vice President would say or think.
Right, non of the members of which has served the in the military for the last 150 years.
MYTH ROMNEY is a fraud.
This makes sense; McCain would have nobody out shine him like Romney. Any VP choice that is better known than him, or who pointed out his many faults earlier on in the primaries would not have a chance.
This newer, younger choice, who very few people know anything about will just be another McCain lapdog. (We know him too well.)
Actually, this is sort of funny to watch. It’s like a bunch of dogs in a pound starving and the dog catcher occasionally throws them a dry bone to salivate over.
But in the end you still get little to nothing, named Juan Cap-N-Trade McAmnesty.
The no Congressman since 1880 rule can go by the wayside with the "No Senator elected since Moses was a boy" argument because that's going to happen this year.
And BTW, the last elected position George H.W. Bush held was Congressman.
I do not necessarily disagree with this vote if it was limited to emergency treatment, and not to anything elective.
Call me a bleeding heart lib for it, but I would rather not have the illegals dead because they did not get some emergency treatment for fear of getting reported.
Structuring it to report them if they did not PAY for the emergency treatment if full would be a much better structure in my humble opinion.
My 2¢
Military service is voluntary last time I checked.
True. But, you will be voting FOR Obama.
Many of us learned this lesson hard, when we stood on princile and voted for Ross Perot. We stood out in the cold for 8 years. We were to blame for the clinton mess. If we had voted for ole George Bush, we would have been much better off.
Sorry, but you are planning on being part of the problem. And take it from me, it is hard to live with yourself, when you do that.
Good luck, in Tokyo. Obama will be picking all new Ambassadors, for the whole world. He will all new U.S. Attorneys for every single state. He will pick new heads of every government office. And there will not be a large enough minority of Republicans in the congress to stop any thing the man wants to do. He will have complete power. I hope you like socialism, and the government taking your money to give it to others, because that is what you are planning to vote in.
