Yes, it’s a feint to get Obama to commit to Kaine in his effort to secure Virginia. Then, McCain can go after the Dem ticket as having TWO lightweights on foreign policy.

What in the hell has Cantor done in his political career to deserve to be the VP? He would be only 1 heartbeat away from the Presidency. Bad idea if you ask me.

“genius businessman”

LOL

The WSJ -— one week ago -— did an article about what a financial disaster RomneyCare is, and will be, for MA — and the taxpayers.

BTW, Romney’s private business acumen is well, inflated, to be polite. And I say that as one who had the privilege of lucky birth, as well.

Um, he’s Deputy Whip. A lot more experience than Obama.

One thing that stands out (noted above) is the fact he had a family member killed in a terrorist attack. He’s personally motived, in other words. We need that kind of passion at the top.

And I thought that the Minn Gov was an unknown who wouldn't draw votes to the ticket. Will they start vetting Political Science Majors at small Community Colleges next. Come on McCain, the VP has to be someone the nation has heard of.

nmh, from my memory, however, isn’t one of the hardcore Romney apologists. It surprises me to see the ‘Mormon hate’ canard right out of the box from nmh.

I think he's a Nephite.

"I remain unimpressed."

Well that should be all McCain needs to cross him off the list.

If you want someone from the House, Pence, Cox, or Portman would be better.

And 20 year Congressman Duncan Hunter would be BEST

Anybody ever heard of Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour? How ‘bout Steve Forbes? Mitt Romney?

In business and professional portraits, if you normally wear glasses, you wear them for the photo.

I think you meant to address your posting here at #278 to MinuteGal from her question at posting #234. She is the one who wanted to know why they had to wear glasses for a protrait photo.
