RICHMOND, Va. - U.S. Rep. Eric Cantor of Virginia has been asked for "personal documents" by John McCain's campaign, a Republican knowledgeable with the discussions said Saturday.

Cantor, 45, the chief deputy minority whip in the House, has been mentioned among several Republicans as a possible running mate for McCain, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.

The Republican familiar with the conversations between Cantor and the McCain campaign said Cantor has been asked to turn over documents, but did not know specifically what records were sought.

A 3rd party puts you with Obama as President. What an irresponsible choice that would be on your part.

You must have gotten most of your information from the very liberal Boston Globe, whose writers hate Romney on the basis of his being a conservative who stood for morally conservative and economic policies in the most liberal state in the history of the USA. Don’t you find it odd that a liberal newspaper weeks before an election starts to call a candidate on the the basis of not being a conservative?

Here we go again. Mitt is not the ideal candidate because of his Mormon faith. Too many evangelicals won’t vote for him, including me.

Who are you going to vote for? The Messiah?

I don’t know. If the world made sense, Duncan Hunter would be the candidate.

Duncan Hunter is the biggest crybaby in the whole race. He's a loser who didn't lose graciously.

O.K., first of all, the last Senators elected Prez were Kennedy and Johnson. There’s a far cry of a difference between 1880 and 1960.

Yes, the last ELECTED office George H. W. held was Congressman. But, he was also Ambassador to the U.N. and Vice President for 8 years. C’mon Corin, you know that makes a difference.

BTW, having said what I said in my last post to you, let me add that I really do like Cantor and I’d be very pleased with him as VEEP.

It wasnt for personal gain, he took no pay as governor and was trying to bring some sanity and balance to a 90% rat state.

No, I got my information from Myth Romney, on video, in print, and in action.

Jim Robison had a truth file on him, don’t you remember?

This picture looks like a young Victor Davis Hanson.

If only VDH were in on the campaign, if only as a foreign-policy flunkie...

Riiiight...

I forget, Saint Mitt of the Wonderful Hair is selfless. Forgoing the Governors salary when you have hundreds of millions is a sure sign of political piety. I bet he handed the salary out to the poor (they would need it to pay for Romneycare)

He of course had aspiration to the presidency for the same unselfish reasons, he wanted to do for us all what he did for Mass. (For that he goes Conservative).

Thankfully he won't get the chance to help us in that fashion...

And of course I left this off. If he did not compromise his principals for political expediency, then he did for the hell of it. Oh it just get better and better

And I'll vote for the one whose policies are less likely to take my rights away from me.

My point was, and still is, that it’s silly to say a Congressman or Senator can’t be elected President. There are just too many variables.

Jim Robison had a truth file on him, don’t you remember?

3/4 of that file is probably material from liberal groups who misrepresent his actions he took as a maverick conservative and genius businessman in Massachusetts.
