My bills exceeded that by a million and a half more.
I lost everything I had. I am sorry, I can't feel 1 bit sorry for someone who was here illegally and got a free ride, literally, for everything.
I agree with you. Hard to muster the sympathy for some illegal alien when so many Americans who need medical treatment, education and social services go wanting.
I paid family health insurance for 20 years, and my employers paid dearly too, and the one and only time I had to visit the ER was when my leg hurt so badly I thought I had a bone injury. They took xrays and said nothing was wrong and to take Tylenol and go home. Later an RN at my doctor's office diagnosed what I had as neuropathy from shingles.
In all, I took up less than an hour total of hospital personnel's time, and they failed to diagnose what I had. But that didn't stop them from sending me bills for hundreds of dollars, even though I had paid thousands of dollars in premiums for service never needed over 20 years.
And yet, undocumented families line up for free healthcare at the same ER and are charged nothing. They never paid all the insurance premiums I did. They paid nothing.
