I will welcome anyone to this country who wants to become an American using the legal means that are available to them.
They don't need to give up their families and histories entirely, they just need to become Americans first and Americans by choice.
If you ever get the desire to immigrate to America, I'm sure you'd be a welcome addition as well. You can even bring your Volvo with you.

Sadly, I have seen too many here that throw the legal immigrant in the mix, but like you say, most don’t.
Now, now, hold on there..... we've got to draw the line somewhere, else all sorts of riff-raff will be coming here with their Volvos and Saabs.... what's next, immigrants bringing their own BMWs and Mercedes sedans? Pretty soon you'll be telling us we have to allow in Ferraris and Maseratis....... :^)

You’ve seen people here who have a problem with LEGAL hispanics entering the military? I’d have to see a post like that before I’d believe it. Immigration is one of my hot button issues. I check out almost every immigration thread and have for years, and I’ve never seen anyone who had a problem with legal immigrants of any origin entering the military.
