We understand it might be beneath a worldwide celebrity of Barack Obamas magnitude to appear at town hall meetings alongside John McCain and directly answer questions from the American people, but we hope hell reconsider.
The New Tone is dead. (finally!)

Obama is a coward, McCain is a hero. Obama won’t agree to town hall debates because he knows they favor McCain. What McCain should do is refuse any moderated debates unless Obama agrees to town hall debates.

Obama’s handlers are smart.
They know that appearing in an open forum without scripted questions has no upside for their candidate.

Pretty bad when the machine has to shut up their contender because he is an idiot.

Good thinkin’, bambi. Why bother? You already have all the votes you’re gonna need, right? Why reveal how empty the suit is and risk losing those who can think?

Well Obama absolutely sucks at answering surprise questions off the cuff.

Without a teleprompter, Obama is just plain ignorant. With moderated debates, he answers scripted questions with his cheat sheets. A sock puppet is more electable.

That proves his cowardice on ALL fronts.

McCain can use this response to his advantage. He can continue appearing in town-hall forums and openly question why Obama lacks the courage to join him.I hope he really hits this point. It is virtually guaranteed to raise questions about what Obama is afraid of, and raise legitimate doubts in the minds of uncertain or undecided voters.
