I'm sure it would be advantageous to shut FR down before the election. As for any claims of "Larry Sinclair", it's his word alone. It's like the tabloid, "The Globe" claiming for months last year that Dubya had turned into a raving drunk in the White House and his wife was about to divorce him. BS yourself...there are a half dozen freepers who make sure that every new pearl from the con-man's mouth gets a new thread here, sometimes linking directly to sinclair's site.

. One thread wherein sinclair accused obama of having a gay lover in church and then implied strongly that obama had him murdered was posted as fact and was eventually yanked.

This has been going on for months and a few of us have been fighting it for months by demanding that the freepers who support sinclair by giving him air time here provide even the slightest bit of actual evidence. They never do because he never does.

Just because you are not aware of the dozens and dozens of sinclair threads doesn't mean that they don't exist. They do and it is because a few freepers are pushing him at every opportunity.

It would be a crime if the sinclair crew on Free Republic were the ones to render the site fully marginalized.

Look at how the obama anti-smear site vilified Rush over the michelle tapes. It doesn't matter that they lie about it, the world doesn't fact check.

They would lay all the sinclair travesty at JR's feet in a heartbeat...."The right-wing kook site, Free Republic, accuses obama of conspiracy to murder".

The difference is that Rush has the ear of the people and can fight back. This site would never be taken seriously again on any issue.
