Because as we become more Marxist, politics dominate the legal system. Think Russian/Chinese political prisoners.

Think it can’t happen here?

The only opinion that counts, is the one given by the 12 people charged with rendering the verdict. It was upheld. Mandatory sentences, law of unintended consequences. I don’t care what you say, there has to be one set of rules for everyone, not special ones for LEO. If anything they need to be held to a higher standard since they are given such awesome power.

Wouldn’t want to offend mexico...

Bush Jr. Is getting to be more like Bush Sr.

You can almost hear Dana Carvey saying “Wouldn’t be prudent... not at this juncture”

Justice traded places with illegal aliens. Justice went south when illegals came north as cheap labor.

“It’s difficult to reconcile why U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton would choose to seek out drug smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila, in Mexico to offer him immunity, unconditional border-crossing cards and free medical care in exchange for his testimony against the border agents.”

Shakespeare was right. America is overrun with lawyers. Lawyers care only about winning. Ergo we get absurd immunity agreements like this one and information hidden from a jury.

“It’s no secret our Southern border is a virtual war zone where our border patrol agents and local law enforcement officers are often outgunned and outmanned by the violent drug cartels. So when Agents Ramos and Compean testified they thought Davila pointed a weapon at them, wouldn’t that seem reasonable to assume given the dangerous conditions they face everyday along the border? Not according to U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, who decided to give the benefit of the doubt to a drug smuggler transporting a million dollars worth of drugs who said he was unarmed rather than siding with our law enforcement officers. “

This is how GW sticks it to anti-amnesty Republicans--by making us watch these two being punished unjustly.

If we had a Dem in the WH, we'd likely be batter able to push for a pardon.

The liberal statist elite love to protect their own while ignoring real abuses by law enforcement. I'm still waiting for the US Gov officials responsible for the deaths of 80+ men, women and children (multi-racial) at Waco, Texas, to pay for their homicidal conduct.

I'm also waiting for Lon Horiuchi to be brought to justice for the slaying of nursing mother Vicki Weaver, wife of "while separatist" Randall Weaver, while he (LH) was going for a two'fer.

These victims are not illegal aliens, drug smugglers or members of other protected liberal-beloved group, but they are dead. Dead. Unlike the drug smugling illegal who survived to assist in the conviction of two border agents.

Johnny Sutton is one sick scumbag.
Who's his boss, anyway?

For your info about a program on tv tonight regarding the border patrol that I thought you maybe interested in. I got a glimpse of a promo while flipping channels. It sounds like they are shooting from the perspective of the smugglers and illegal immigrants based upon this clip from their web site.

Episode Detail: Border Wars - Explorer

A report on illegal immigration follows drug smugglers and job seekers as they risk their lives attempting to cross the Mexico-U.S. border. Also: a look inside the U.S. Border Patrol.
