Katarzyna Dziewanowska is a woman, Ron. And a "damn good scientist" who's been working for 14 years to protect the U.S. from bio-warfare attacks.

I'm reminded of Mark Steyn and Christopher Hitchens, both of whose applications for U.S. citizenship were held up for years by stupid red tape, including long delays where the U.S. bureaucrats lost their papers or otherwise screwed up the process, and then penalized them for not meeting filing deadlines.

Hitchens' comment was: "You know the old saying, Nothing human is alien to me. I think the bureaucracy's motto is, Nothing alien is human to me."

It's stupid and shameful.
