U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) currently leads Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) by nine points in Massachusetts according to the latest poll from 7News/Suffolk University.

The survey, conducted between July 31 and August 3, shows Obama with 47 percent t McCain's 38 percent. It has a 4.9 point margin of error.

Obama has fallen from the 7News/Suffolk poll a month and a half ago, when he was ahead of McCain by 53 percent to 30 percent -- 23 points.

A SurveyUSA/WBZ-TV poll, conducted June 25 to 27, showed Obama leading by 13 points, 53 percent to 40 percent. Seven percent were undecided.

I’ve talked to a lot of Dems here in MA who will be voting for McCain. They realize Obama is an empty suit. Don’t get me wrong, there are innumerable Dems who will vote for Obama regardless of his record, reputation and lack of experience, but those numbers are diminishing. At the end of the day, McCain is a safe bet for anyone other than moonbats.

Statistically tied?

I doubt it.

This is Mass. we're talking about.

He can’t call on her.

Bill refuses to let his business affairs be vetted.

Obama will lose this election because Hillary won’t do anything to help him. In fact.. Bill was back in the news today.

“I’m not a racist” he ranted.

Don’t you know Bill is about the LAST person Obama wants to see on the news.

Hillary will try again in 2012.

Consider the fact that only 12.5% of Mass. voters are Republicans, and this may be a very significant indication that The Prophet's support is a mile wide... sorry, a kilometer wide and a...er, millimeter deep. Maybe he needs to go back to Europe.

Obama will win MA, as the Donks/Eyeties/Pork Choppers will cast aside all prejudices and vote reflexively Democrat yet again.

I think you’re right. The Clinton’s will hang him out to dry, and go for the “I told you so” run in 2012.

So? Deval will manufacture as many votes as needed to ensure an Obama victory in MA. There are 300,000 illegals here (9% of the population) and they can be counted upon to vote for Obama.

Wow—I thought MA was the capital of Moonbat Land.

It is.   Anyone who thinks McCain will win Massachusetts is smoking crack.

(And yes, there are some good Conservatives in Massachusetts.   Just not many.)

I spent the weekend in Amherst MA (shudder!) and it is definitely Obama-nation. The good news is that, while the average resident looks smart enough to de-construct The Vagina Monologues in Esperanto, few of them looked smart enough to operate a voting machine.
