I think she’s up for re-election this year. Remember in 2002 she said she would not take part in fillibustering judges or maybe it was a certain hispanic nominee. But as soon as she was re-elected she went back to being a fillibustering leftist. And who can forget her hideous behavior after Katrina.
Landrieu showing some self-preservation? Who’da thunkit? I hope more Dems see the light. Maybe they don’t care - rich bastids - about the price of gas, but their constituents sure do.

However...Let us then remember, if the Dems cave in and the price of oil goes down they will claim the Democrats solved the problem. Get prepared to attack that claim! Be prepared for all the hoopla they will arrouse and have the media reporting that it was the Republican Congress and Bush that led us to this problem, and the Democrats that got us out. They will say that.
We must not let them get away with it. We must keep every article, every comment, every "Nay," record and continually lambaste the media with facts about how the Dems would not budge until forced by the Republicans and the public.
We must NEVER STOP reminding them that they did not solve this...our Republican Congressmen who would not leave Washington are responsable for the solutions that might be reached. Never let them get away with proclaiming a victory. Never!

Oh, I believe that have. What's fantastic about this is that the libs genuinely did not see any of this coming. All the evidence you need is Pelosi's interview with Snuffalupagous on Sunday and Obama's constant shifting of positions on the issue. He's literally taken almost every side one can take--it's hilarious! With "green" being so "in," they thought they could ride the wave for the next decade and do as they pleased. Unfortunately for them, the backlash against all the crap science has been devastating, and it'll continue to get worse.
